Founder of VoidOrigin, based in the Bay Area. Nearly twenty years in systems and network engineering, ten writing code, the last four focused on security and AI. Every phase built on the one before it: physical infrastructure taught me how systems fail, software taught me how to build them, and security taught me how to make sure they hold.
I started where most people in this industry start: helpdesk. Resetting passwords, imaging machines, learning how systems work and why they fail. That turned into IT support, which turned into building and managing the infrastructure myself. Network architecture, firewall policies, VPN tunnels, full office buildouts with zero-downtime migrations. The kind of work where you learn fast because downtime has a dollar amount attached to it.
In 2016 I applied to 42 Silicon Valley and made it through the Piscine, a 26-day immersive selection process that filters out most applicants. No teachers, no tuition, no lectures. Just peer-to-peer learning, project deadlines, and a culture that rewards figuring things out on your own. That program shifted my trajectory from infrastructure into software. I kept doing systems work to pay the bills, contracting for startups and small businesses, but the pull toward building software was already there.
I spent four years at Beezwax Datatools as a systems engineer, owning infrastructure for enterprise clients across healthcare, education, and media. Docker environments, mixed server fleets, CI/CD pipelines, incident response. That role taught me what it takes to keep production systems running at scale, and it made me want to build the products instead of just running them.
So I did. I founded VoidOrigin in 2023 to build AI software that actually ships. Not wrappers, not demos. Production systems where the intelligence is the product: cognitive memory architectures, real-time trading automation, retrieval pipelines that run entirely locally. Every phase of my career, from racking servers to writing agents, shaped how I build software today.
When I am not building, I am usually on a motorcycle, on a trail somewhere in the Bay Area, or eating at a place that's difficult to pronounce.
I like building things
and breaking routine.
Founder / AI Engineer
Built the company and everything in it. Designed a cognitive memory system (KongBrain) that scores 98.2% Recall@5 on LongMemEval with zero retrieval API calls. Shipped Socket Trader, a real-time WebSocket signal gateway that automates futures execution through NinjaTrader 8. Architected the full SaaS platform from scratch: Next.js frontend, FastAPI backend, Stripe and crypto billing, passwordless auth.
AI Trainer / Cybersecurity Specialist
Evaluate and train large language models on code generation, cybersecurity reasoning, and factual accuracy. Author expert-level comparison tests that shape how models handle security prompts, vulnerability analysis, and safe code output. Direct feedback loop into the next generation of AI.
Systems Engineer
Owned infrastructure for enterprise clients across healthcare, education, and media. Operated distributed Docker environments, managed mixed Linux and macOS server fleets, and built CI/CD pipelines that kept deployments predictable. Ran the monitoring and alerting stack, handled incident response, and delivered system health reporting across a geographically distributed client base.
Network / Systems Engineer
Designed and deployed network infrastructure for small businesses and startups. Full office buildouts from rack layout and structured cabling to switch configuration, VLAN segmentation, and site-to-site VPN tunnels. Led physical office migrations end to end with zero downtime. Hardened perimeters with firewall policies and intrusion detection, then automated ongoing monitoring for long-term handoff.
Persistent graph memory plugin for Claude Code. Integrates via MCP server with hook-driven lifecycle management. Extracts 9 knowledge types per session with cross-project recall. 1014 passing tests.
Standalone cognitive AI agent with persistent memory backed by SurrealDB. Five-stage retrieval pipeline with cross-encoder reranking scores 98.2% Recall@5 on LongMemEval. Zero API calls for retrieval at ~0.84s per query.
The original cognitive context engine for OpenClaw agents. Graph-backed memory with vector embeddings, adaptive reasoning across 10 intent categories, and a soul graduation system. Published to npm and ClawHub.
Real-time WebSocket gateway for automated futures trading through NinjaTrader 8. Fibonacci reconnect logic, color-coded latency monitoring, per-account risk controls with soft and hard stop modes.
The SaaS platform powering this site. Static Next.js frontend, async FastAPI backend, SQLite in WAL mode, Stripe subscriptions, Coinbase Commerce, magic-link auth, and live WebSocket signal delivery.

AS Cybersecurity / Network Administration
Peer-to-peer software engineering. No teachers, no tuition. Admitted through the Piscine, a 26-day immersive selection process, into a full-time on-campus program in systems programming and algorithms.
Custom application work, trading infrastructure, AI integration, or security review. If the brief is clear and the problem is real, I want to hear about it.
