Risk Disclosure
Futures trading is high risk. Most retail participants lose money. Please read this in full before funding an account, subscribing to signals, or running any automated execution.
Substantial Risk of Loss
Trading futures contracts involves a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose more than the money you deposit. Leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade, you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, financial resources, and risk appetite. You should only invest capital you can afford to lose.
Not Investment Advice
VoidOrigin is a dev lab. We are not a registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA), Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), Introducing Broker (IB), broker-dealer, or registered investment adviser. Nothing on this website or in the Socket Trader application, including signals, statistics, and equity curves, constitutes personalized investment advice, solicitation, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or contract.
Our signals are impersonal and identical for every subscriber on a given strategy. They are not tailored to your financial situation, positions, objectives, or risk tolerance. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether a signal is appropriate for you and for every trading decision you make.
No Management of Your Accounts
VoidOrigin will neverdirectly or indirectly manage, trade, or offer to manage or trade a customer's account. You connect your own broker. You place, size, and manage every trade yourself or with software you have configured. We have no access to and no control over your funds.
Hypothetical and Simulated Performance
Hypothetical performance disclaimer (17 CFR 4.41)
These results are based on simulated or hypothetical performance results that have certain inherent limitations. Unlike the results shown in an actual performance record, these results do not represent actual trading. Also, because these trades have not actually been executed, these results may have under or over compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated or hypothetical trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to these being shown.
Unless a performance figure is explicitly labeled “live” or “verified,” you should assume any winrate, expectancy, drawdown, equity curve, or profit-factor shown on this site or inside the product is based on historical backtest or paper simulation. Live results will differ, often significantly, due to slippage, commissions, execution latency, liquidity, venue outages, and other real-world factors that simulations cannot model perfectly.
Past Performance Is Not Indicative of Future Results
Market conditions change. A strategy that performed well in one regime may perform poorly in another. Prior winrate, drawdown, or expectancy numbers are not promises, forecasts, or guarantees of future returns. Strategies may stop working at any time.
Leverage
Futures are highly leveraged. Small adverse price movements can result in substantial losses relative to the margin you post. You may be required to deposit additional margin on short notice, and failure to do so may result in liquidation of your position at a loss.
Signal Delivery and Execution Risks
Signals are transmitted over the public internet via WebSocket. We make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime and low latency, but we do not guarantee delivery, ordering, or timeliness of signals. Network issues, data outages, broker issues, and software bugs can cause missed, delayed, or duplicate signals. You should configure independent risk controls (position limits, max daily loss, kill switch) in your execution environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Understand how futures work and read your broker's risk disclosure.
- Only trade with capital you can afford to lose.
- Never deploy a new strategy live without first running it on a demo account.
- Maintain your own stop-loss, daily-loss, and position-size rules at the broker or platform level.
- Keep the desktop client, broker platform, and operating system patched.
Third-Party Brokers and Platforms
Socket Trader integrates with NinjaTrader and may integrate with other platforms in the future. Those platforms and your broker have their own terms, commissions, margin rules, and risk disclosures. Your relationship with them is separate from your relationship with VoidOrigin. We are not responsible for their outages, fees, or policy changes.
Testimonials and Case Studies
Any testimonial or case study published on this site reflects one person's experience. Individual results vary. Testimonials are not typical and are not a guarantee that any other person will achieve similar results.
